Wheels or wheel covers?

There are uglier stock wheels

I had a similar Celebrity, and I think I had those wheel covers. I don’t have pictures of it anywhere, because cameras had not been invented yet.

It’s not necessarily that the wheels are ugly themselves, they just look tiny and cheap on this. They look even smaller in person.

I agree
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:33 |

But the Vipet 3-spokes were already taken!
Anyway, fair enough. You said worst which I would argue for reasons that go beyond just ugly. These, for one are uglier - but someone will probably find something even worse.
Edit: I hate the wheels on my wife’s Outback... They should have left the clean 6-spokes from ‘10-12 alone when they did the ‘13 facelift.

2/4. The CRX phone dials and CB Accord alloys are awesome. Agree that the first and last wheels are terrible.

80's Cavalier.

The those are pretty bad
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:36 |

I was just making a joke, but yeah I really don’t like the wheels on the facelifted Accord right now (the Sport trim ones are OK.)
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:37 |
|
That’s disgusting
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:39 |

I actually think these look pretty boss in context. So much 80's.
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:40 |

Ugh, yes. The only good thing about the facelifted Accord is that you can now get a Sport in San Marino Red with a manual. At least in theory, because I’ve never seen one.

Ugly wheel or the best 3-spoke wheel ever?
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:45 |
|
What color? My parents had an olive green over green mouse fur interior ‘86 when I was in grade school that I think also had those covers. I hated being seen in that thing so much. It was reliable enough to though. My dad hung on to it until 2000, sold it for $500 and we still saw it around town for another 2 or 3 years.

I haven’t either, though I’m glad you can get a manual in more than just black and grey. I have a coworker who is looking to replace a base ‘05 LX manual sedan that she loves but is starting to develop some problems and I'm trying to steer her towards a Sport so that Honda will keep selling them.

These are by no means the worst offenders, but they offend me. I like 5-spokers.
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:53 |
|
Forgot about those - let’s just say they did not improve the look of the car.
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:53 |

At the bottom ... ugh.

Oy ...
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:55 |

5 spokes - gimme.
![]() 06/12/2016 at 15:56 |

Yeah, the stock NA wheels never really suited the car.

Mine was an ‘83. It was originally a nice dark blue, but had had a terrible light blue painted over it. We got it after the first car my parents got for me (‘80 Pontiac Phoenix) turned out to be a lemon. I drove it for 4-5 years and my older sister had it for 3 years in the mid 90s. It was one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, and unkillable.

These are better.

If I were to ever get one, wheels would have to be the first thing changed
![]() 06/12/2016 at 16:04 |

Yeah. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next Accord sedan doesn’t have a manual available at all.
Side note: was there ever an Accord that had the 4-door/V6/manual combination available? I know the 6th and 9th didn't/do not.

C6 ZR1

That’s a grand sport.

I never liked those twin 5 spokers. But I’ll agree that car could carry off a nicer wheel without a problem.

The wheels are the same.

7th gen did V6/MT for a few model years. I would be very surprised if the got rid of the MT all together for several reasons. One, the journalists all love it and that helps them win awards like 10Best use in advertising. Next, as long as demand on the coupe it is easy to keep on in the sedan. Finally, it lets them advertise a starting price $1-2k below what most will cost by making the auto an option. I wouldn’t be shocked if the sport goes away and the MT is base/LX 4-cyl only, but I’m confident it will hang around for at least one more generation.

My ‘97 looked exactly like this one, and while I didn’t dislike the wheels, I thought Honda should’ve come up with something better.

They Could’ve done better

7 spokes can be good.

Chrome wheels on a sports car? Yuck. I mean, if that’s your thing then fine, but when I’m trying to get my 640 horsepower car past the cops unnoticed I want to keep the bling-bling to a minimum and those 19" mirrors aren’t helping.
![]() 06/12/2016 at 17:23 |

I have considered these for my C4

I personally think the wheels on the new Prius look really stupid, almost as much as the car itself.
Thank goodness the Prius Prime is coming soon.
Better looking, and (much) better wheels.

The ZR1 wheels are the only chrome wheels I have ever liked. I think they make it look spectacular. Especially in the blue.
